Gaudete Baking Exchange

Get Ready for the Gaudete Baking Exchange!

The holiday season is upon us, and what better way to celebrate than through the joy of baking and sharing delicious treats with our community? We are thrilled to invite you to participate in our Gaudete Baking Exchange! This festive event will take place on December 15th in the church narthex, and promises to be a delightful activity for all ages.

What is a Gaudete Baking Exchange?

Gaudete Sunday, observed in the third week of Advent, is a time of joy and anticipation as we prepare for the celebration of Christmas. This year, we’re embracing the spirit of Gaudete by bringing together our parish community to share in the love of baking. The Baking Exchange is not just about exchanging goodies; it’s a chance for us to connect, celebrate, and create new memories together.

How Does It Work?

Here's how you can participate in this sweet celebration:

  • Grab a Styrofoam Tray: We’re giving out takeaway containers that you can use to bring your goodies to the bake exchange. Look for them near the church entrance!

  • Bake Your Favorite Treats: Whip up a batch of your favorite holiday cookies, cakes, or pastries. Whether it’s a family recipe or a new creation, we want to see what you can bake!

  • Bring Extra to Share: Please bring enough of your baked goods to share with others. The idea is to create a variety of treats that everyone can enjoy and take home.

  • Drop Off Your Creations: Leave your baked goods on the display tables set up in the narthex before Mass.

  • Exchange and Enjoy: After Mass, grab a carry-out container and explore what other people have brought! You can sample different treats, share recipes, and even learn new baking tips from fellow parishioners.

Let’s make this Gaudete Baking Exchange a joyful celebration filled with delicious treats and community spirit. We can’t wait to see what you’ll bring to share!

Mark your calendars and get ready to bake, share, and celebrate the joy of the season. Happy baking!
