A Blessed Harmony: Our Pastor Blesses the Organ
In a recent ceremony, our Pastor, Father Jeff Oehring, imparted a blessing upon our church's organ, an instrument that has long been the heart of our musical worship. The event was marked by the presence of St. Ann's choirs and our organists, creating a moment of unity and celebration.
A Symbolic Ceremony
The organ, with its pipes and tones, has been a cornerstone of the Church’s musical tradition. Recognizing its importance, our Pastor led a blessing ceremony, emphasizing the instrument's role in enhancing our worship and bringing joy to our congregation.
A Gathering of Voices
Both of St. Ann's choirs for the 10 AM English Mass and Noon TLM gathered for this occasion. Choir members, from seasoned vocalists to newcomers, joined in a blessing that underscored the unity of our church community.
Organists in the spotlight
Our organists, who bring the instrument to life with their skill, were also present for the ceremony. Dr. Gordon’s dedication and talent was on display as he demonstrated the organ's capabilities, playing a Christmas hymn for the children and singers gathered. His performance highlighted the organ's ability to inspire, echoing the pastor's message of hope and faith.
“Make a joyful noise unto the Lord.”
A Community United in Music
This blessing ceremony was more than just a dedication of an instrument; it was a testament to the strength and unity of our church family. As the organ's notes filled the sanctuary, they carried the prayers and dreams of our community, resonating with a message of peace.
In the days that follow, we look forward to the continued role of our blessed organ in our worship services, knowing it will inspire us and strengthen our faith. With each note played, the organ will remind us of this day and the unity we share as a congregation.

Singing Marian Antiphons at Mass
This Advent, we are excited to introduce a new practice at our parish that connects us more deeply with the universal Church's heritage. Beginning with the first Sunday of Advent, we will be singing the Marian antiphons proper to each liturgical season at the conclusion of Sunday Mass, before the recessional hymn.
